On 20th May, 2020 a severe cyclone named Amphan hits West Bengal with a gusting speed of 130 km and caused various disaster in some districts of West Bengal, like North 24 Parganas, South 24 Parganas, Kolkata.

According to NDRF it is the most severe cyclone in the last decade causing the death of 72 people and thousands number of houses and trees were uprooted. In this critical situation Chhaya Prakashani Limited in association with a NGO named “Mukti” offered relief to the victim of the cyclone. Total 1200 families (700 in South 24 Pargana and 500 in North 24 Pargana) were the part of that relief where they are helped with food grains and medicines.
